MAP Movement
WHAT IS MAP MOVEMENT ALL ABOUT?

MAP (Myofacial Activated Posture) Movement as a movement therapy and a movement technique teaches you to use your own body to create movement in all myofacial planes, in other words, in all directions.

Movement techniques compliment manual therapy and in some sense gives you the power back that chronic pain and our busy lifestyle (which often involve injury, emotional trauma and stress) takes away.

See the clip above on: What is MAP Movement?

We use 5 MAP Movement principles both in evaluation and movement. These help us make sense of movement in the "everywhereness" of fascia. During both individual and group sessions these 5 MAP principles form the foundation of sessions. You will be introduced to these principles during individual sessions.

Fascia takes 6- 24 months to adapt to forces being placed upon it. Bad habits form quickly and good habits take time. Therefore, there is great benefit in attending group sessions at least once a week even after admission, whether online or face to face.

MAP is movement based group classes focusing on breathing, creating space and giving you the power back!
